Oral Cancer Screening
Comprehensive oral cancer screenings to detect early warning signs and protect your long-term health during routine dental visits.

Visual Examination
We carefully inspect all visible areas of your mouth, lips, tongue, and throat for any abnormalities, discoloration, or unusual tissue changes.
Physical Assessment
We gently feel the tissues of your mouth and neck to check for lumps, swelling, or areas of tenderness that may need attention.
Discussion & Next Steps
If everything looks healthy, you're all set. If we notice anything unusual, we'll explain what we found and discuss whether monitoring or further evaluation is needed.
How often should I have an oral cancer screening?+
We perform an oral cancer screening at every routine dental exam, typically every six months. This regular monitoring helps us spot any changes early.
Will the screening hurt?+
Not at all. The screening is completely painless and non-invasive. We simply look at and gently feel the tissues in your mouth and neck.
What happens if you find something abnormal?+
Most abnormalities turn out to be benign, but we take every finding seriously. We may monitor the area over time or refer you to a specialist for a biopsy or further testing to determine exactly what it is.
