Digital X-Rays
Advanced digital X-ray imaging provides clearer diagnostics with up to 90% less radiation than traditional film X-rays, helping us detect issues early and keep you safer.

Positioning
We place a small, comfortable sensor inside your mouth near the area we need to image. It takes just a moment to position correctly.
Capture
The X-ray is taken in seconds—you won't feel anything. We may take several images from different angles to get a complete view.
Review Together
Your images appear instantly on our monitor. We'll walk you through what we see and answer any questions you have about your oral health.
Are digital X-rays safe?+
Yes. Digital X-rays are extremely safe and emit up to 90% less radiation than traditional film X-rays. We also use lead aprons for added protection. The amount of radiation is minimal—comparable to what you're exposed to during a short airplane flight.
How often will I need X-rays?+
Most patients need X-rays once or twice a year as part of routine checkups. If you have a history of cavities or gum disease, we may recommend them more frequently. New patients typically receive a full set to establish a baseline for future comparisons.
Can I see my X-rays?+
Absolutely. One of the best parts of digital X-rays is that we can show you the images right away on our chairside monitor. We'll point out anything important and explain what we're looking at in plain language.
