Dental Sealants
Protective coatings for back teeth that prevent cavities in deep grooves, especially beneficial for children and teens. A quick, painless way to safeguard your family's smiles.

Clean & Prepare
We thoroughly clean the tooth and apply a gentle gel that helps the sealant bond to the enamel.
Apply the Sealant
We paint the liquid sealant material into the grooves and pits of the tooth's chewing surface.
Cure & Check
A special light hardens the sealant in seconds. We check your bite to ensure everything feels comfortable.
Are sealants only for children?+
No. While we most often apply sealants to children's permanent molars as they come in, teens and adults without existing fillings or decay in their back teeth can also benefit. We'll recommend sealants if your tooth anatomy and cavity risk make them a good preventive choice.
Do sealants replace brushing and flossing?+
Absolutely not. Sealants are an added layer of protection, not a substitute for good oral hygiene. You still need to brush twice daily, floss, and visit us for regular checkups. Sealants protect the chewing surfaces, but you still need to clean between teeth and along the gumline.
Will I be able to feel the sealants?+
Most patients don't notice them at all after the first day or two. Sealants are very thin and smooth, so they blend naturally with your tooth. If a sealant ever feels high or uncomfortable, let us know and we can adjust it easily.
